Description

This phased renovation of 175 Sherman Ave is located on Yale New Haven’s (YNHH) St. Raphael campus. Due to the proposed construction of their new Neuroscience Center, YNHH needed medical office space to accommodate those being relocated, including the Heart and Vascular Center and Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. C.E. Floyd initiated the project with the renovation of the third floor. This allowed services to be relocated to this floor while the remainder of the building was being converted from an under-utilized space into modern medical offices and exam rooms that accommodate a variety of uses. 

Replacement of the MEPs, windows, and roofing were all included in the scope. The historic exterior facade was rehabilitated, repointed and thoroughly cleaned. The work required full scaffolding of the exterior. The site logistics required careful consideration as the building is surrounded by residential properties and occupied medical offices.
