Position Description
Project Manager
Massachusetts Office
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Project Executive, the Project Manager performs a key role in the project planning, budgeting and identification of resources needed for each project.
Based out of our Concord, MA office, we have an opportunity for a full-time Project Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of direct project management experience in commercial construction.

C.E. Floyd Company, PBC is a mid-sized general contractor and construction manager with offices in Concord, MA and Middletown, CT. For more than 30 years, we’ve provided construction management services to carry out collaborative visions for educational, senior living, hospitality, healthcare and commercial markets in the New England area.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
Reporting to the Project Executive, you will:
- Oversee and manage the entire construction delivery process, from contract award to final project billing and execution of the warranty work
- Maintain consistent documentation and communication to all stakeholders to ensure the project progresses through each phase on time and on budget
- Maintain positive client/designer relationships and contribute to the company’s marketing effort
- Create master detail schedules utilizing Oracle (POC)
- Buy out jobs, review and negotiate subcontracts
- Attend client meetings and presentations, traveling to job sites as needed
Who You Are:

Our ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering OR business-related field OR equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience required
- 5+ years of direct project management experience in commercial construction
- Ability to create master detail schedules, and experience with Oracle (OPC) scheduling software preferred
- Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite and Procore
- Knowledge and experience with construction cost accounting methodology
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
- Excellent leadership, management, and verbal and written communication that demonstrates a sense of urgency and do-whatever-it-takes attitude
- Strong mathematical skills and conceptual aptitude, with an excellent ability to focus and maintain a hard work ethic amidst competing priorities
