PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Summary
The project engineer plays a key role in ensuring the project manager and field operations team receive all pertinent information and materials necessary to construct in a timely manner. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience for long-term growth and advancement at the company, with exposure to both project management (in-office) and field operations.
How You’ll Make a Difference
From job set up to final project close-out, you’ll support the project manager(s) and field staff as you carry out the following responsibilities:
Manage and process the administrative documentation and changes for the assigned project(s), including RFIs, submittals and change orders
Work collaboratively in the submittal process and buy out
Ensure all materials required for construction are selected, ordered, invoiced, paid for and delivered to the site on time
Weekly travel to job sites and regular communication with subcontractors and project field staff, maintaining all documentation and following up when needed to ensure continuous progress

As Project Engineer, you’ll benefit from ongoing training and mentorship to build onto 1-3 years’ previous experience working in a commercial construction management environment. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or field preferred
Fundamental knowledge of the construction documentation process from past field or other related industry experience preferred
Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera Scheduling, CAD/REVIT, and Timberscan also helpful, as well as proficiency in MS Office programs, including but not limited to Access, Project, Word, Excel & PowerPoints
Proactive communication with a willingness to learn, adapt, and follow through on a consistent basis
Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
