Thank you Massachusetts! C.E. Floyd Receives Workforce Training Fund Grant for Professional Development Program

July 8th, 2013 by Chris Floyd

We are excited to announce that the State of Massachusetts has awarded a major training grant to C.E. Floyd Company to support our Professional Development Program. I will be writing a series of posts about our Professional Development Program, lessons learned and the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Grant process over the next twelve months with a few guest writers.

When attending new meetings with potential clients and industry networking events, I realized we are one of the best-kept secrets in the industry. Our singular focus on successful project delivery throughout the organization left a big blind spot in the areas of Business Development and Marketing. The Workforce Training Fund Grant gives us the opportunity to provide career-building skills to our employees across job functions while more effectively leveraging our in-house expertise to fuel growth.

The Workforce Training Fund Grant Application process forced us to identify specific targets, goals and metrics for improvement. We partnered with Bill Ronco from Gathering Pace Consulting to outline our Professional Development Program and lead the training workshops. Our focus on enhanced partnering, writing, presentation and planning skills will improve the quality of our service and our ability to tell the story of C.E. Floyd Company.
