C.E. Floyd Project Receives Cambridge Preservation Award!

One of our recent projects at Lesley University received a “Preservation Award” by the Cambridge Historical Commission last night! C.E. Floyd worked with Perry and Radford Architects to complete this gut interior and exterior renovation of a dormitory in Lesley’s Threshold Program.
Projects deemed worthy of a historical preservation award are submitted by the local neighborhood historical committee to the Cambridge Historical Commission for consideration, and 78 Oxford Street at Lesley University was selected as one of a dozen award winners for historical preservation. The criteria requires that a building be returned back to its original appearance and shape with attention being paid to material selections, paint colors, original design/construction features and quality of workmanship.
The Mayor of Cambridge, the City Manager and the director of the Historical Commission presided over the recognition ceremony, and Mary Lou Batt of Lesley University and Oliver Radford of Perry and Radford Architects accepted the award. Congratulations to everyone involved in this exciting project!
